Avaya: Manual Configuration

Scope:
The following steps will allow you to configure an Avaya desk phone manually for use with your Hosted PBX service. This has been tested with firmware 4.0.1.0.11.
Requirements:
- Access to Avaya web GUI
- Access to Manager Portal
Obtain Your Softphone Information
- Log into Manager Portal
- Navigate to Phones
NOTE: Office Managers can navigate to Users > select the user > Phones
- Select Phone Info for the phone you wish to register.
NOTE: You will only see the information if the phone model is set to Manual or Softphone
- Take note of the listed information.
- Click Cancel when you are finished
Find IP Address
- From the Avaya phone, press Main Menu (hamburger menu icon)
- Select Network Information > IP Parameters
- Take note of the IP address for the next steps
Configure Avaya Phone
- Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the phone.
NOTE: This should be prefixed with https://. For example, https://8.8.8.8 - Log in. The default credentials are admin / 27238. If these are incorrect, contact your current service provider or the vendor the phones were purchased from to obtain the login.
- Select SIP at the top
- Complete the below fields, leaving all others as default
- SIP Domain: Enter the Domain/Proxy
- Proxy Policy: Manual
- SIP Proxy Server: sbc.ucaasnetwork.com:5060;transport=tcp

Voice Mail Access Code: 9901
NOTE: This field should be at the bottom of the page
- Click Save
- Edit the SIP Account at the top
- SIP User ID: Username from Manager Portal
- Authentication Password: Password from Manager Portal
- Click Login
- The page will refresh. The Register Status at the top should now say Registered
