Factory Reset AudioCodes MP-202B Native Fax ATA

Scope
This document serves as guideline on how to factory reset an AudioCodes MP-202B Native Fax ATA
Requirements
- Added as ATA device to a Native Fax account
- Reseller scope or higher
- Physical access or IP Access on the MP202 ATA Device
Factory Reset Manually
- Disconnect the MP-202B Power cable
- Plug the Ethernet Cable to the WAN port on the back of the ATA and plug the other end of the ethernet into an internet-connected switch/router.
NOTE: Ensure that DHCP is enabled on the LAN where the device is connected to. - Use a paper clip or a toothpick, press and hold the RST pinhole located in between the WAN and Power port
- Plug the power cable to the back of the ATA where it shows 12VDC port. It will take approximately 20-30 seconds. At this point, the status light will remain red, the WAN port will continue to blink green, and the power light will stay green. After 30 seconds, depress or release the RST pin, and all the lights at the front of the ATA device will turn red and the device will reboot.
- Once the device has rebooted, the Status, WAN, and Power lights will stay green. Wait for another 30-60 seconds as it tries to get an IP from your DHCP server and it will also try to contact the provisioning server. Approximately after 60 seconds, the phone1, phone2, WAN, Status, and power will blink 3 times and the device will reboot again.
- Once the device has rebooted, the WAN will continue to blink green, the status light will stay red for 10-15 seconds.
- Once the WAN, Status, and Power light turn green, wait for another 30 seconds then check the ATA status in the Manager Portal > Inventory > Fax Account. You should now see the ATA status under Serial Number
- If the ATA remains offline in the portal, please submit a ticket and request for ATA SIP Credentials to be reset.
NOTE: Alternatively, you can recreate the PBX user and re-add the fax account to the user and this will generate new ATA SIP Credentials.
Factory Reset Using the ATA Web UI
- Make note of the MAC Address of the ATA which is located at the bottom of the device
- Go to your DHCP server and find the IP Address leased to this device
- Open a browser a navigate to http://<ATAIPAddress>/
- Log in as admin
- Click on Advanced on the left-side pane navigation
- Click Restore Factory Settings
- Click Continue
- On the screen, you will see this message. This means the device is rebooting with the factory settings. Wait about 5-10 seconds and the page will auto-reload and it should automatically take you to the login screen
- Once the login screen is up, DO NOT login yet, the device will reboot for the second time.
- Wait for another 30 seconds, or you can refresh the page to check if the ATA Login page is up.
- Once the login page is displayed, you may now log back in with the same credentials mentioned in step 4
- Verify to make sure that the device was able to grab the configurations from the server. Click Voice Over IP > Line Settings. Notice that the phone number is now assigned to line 1, this signifies that the device was able to pull the configurations from the server
