This document will teach you step by step, how to perform a firmware update on a fax bridge using PuTTY.
Requirements
- Network access to Faxbridge
- Private IP of Faxbridge
- Putty or other SSH tool
- Admin password for Faxbridge
- Access to mFax
Gather IP
- Log into mFax.
- Find the fax bridge that you are going to perform a firmware update on and click on the gear icon
- Copy the private IP address into the Host Name (or IP address) box in PuTTY.
- Click Open
Terminal Commands
- Log in usin
- Type vfwu in the terminal.
- The command will update the firmware and restart the fax bridge.
