Scope

Intended Audience: All Users

This quick start guide gives you an overview of the CloudieConnect mobile app

 

Requirements

Download the App: Open the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and search for “CloudieConnect”, or you can directly download the app using the links below after launch on 7-1:

  • Download from Google Play Store
  • Download from Apple App Store 
 

Grant Required Permissions

After installation, please allow all required permissions to ensure the app works seamlessly.

Display Over Other Apps – Enables CloudieConnect to show incoming call pop-ups even when you're using other apps. This can be enabled from the app settings on your device.

If Permissions Are Denied Initially

If you skip any permissions during setup, you can enable them manually by following these steps:

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings
  2. Navigate to Apps > CloudieConnect > Permissions
  3. Enable the required permissions from the list.

Login Options, and Password Recovery

The login screen offers options to Log In, Forget Password for account recovery, and Language Selection to choose your preferred app language.

Log in through Username and Password

You can log in using your Username and Password that you currently use for the manager portal or through SSO.


Log in through SSO

You can login with SSO using your Google or Microsoft account.


Forgot Password

In case you’ve forgotten your password, enter your Username and press Continue. A password reset link will then be sent to your registered Email Address.


Managing Favorites and Monitoring BLF Status

Managing Favorites

Favorites help you quickly access important contacts and monitor their availability with ease. To mark a contact as a favorite, follow these simple steps:

  1. Tap Contacts from the bottom navigation bar in the CloudieConnect mobile app.
  2. Select the contact you want to mark.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the contact’s details and tap Add to Favorites.
  4. “Remove from Favorites” by tapping the same option again if the contact is already marked.  
  5. To view only your favorite contacts, tap the dropdown menu at the top of the Contacts screen and choose Favorites.

Monitoring BLF Status

BLF (Busy Lamp Field) lets you monitor the real-time status (busy, ringing, available) of your favorite contacts directly from the CloudieConnect mobile app, making call management and collaboration easier. 
 

  • The BLF status for the particular Contact will be visible as follows:
 
Icon
Meaning
Green
When the Contact is available for a call.
Green blinking
When the Contact is receiving an Incoming call from someone.
Red
When the Contact is busy on call with someone.
Grey
When the BLF could not be fetched for the Contact.

Initiating Audio Calls

CloudieConnect offers multiple ways to place a call, depending on what’s most convenient for you. Follow these simple steps to make a audio call.

Using the Dialer

  1. Enter the phone number manually.
  2. Tap the Audio Call icon to place the call.
  3. You can also save new contacts directly from the dialer if the number is not already saved.

Calling Through Saved Contacts

  1. Open the Contacts tab from the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Select the desired contact from the list to view their details, along with the available calling options.
  3. Tap on the Audio Call button to initiate the call.

Calling from Favorites

  1. In the Contacts tab, use the dropdown menu at the top to filter by Favorites.
  2. Select the favorite contact and choose your preferred Audio Call option.

Calling from Recent Call History

  1. Tap the Recent tab to view recent calls from the bottom navigation bar.
  2. You can see your call history, including details like the duration of each call.
  3. You can select contacts to redial from all or specifically missed call history.
  4. Select a contact or number from the list.
  5. A menu will appear showing Audio call options.
  6. Select your preferred option to initiate the call.

Once a call is placed, the ongoing audio or video call screen will appear as shown below, giving you easy access to in-call controls and features.

Sending SMS Messages

From the Messages section, you can send and receive text messages and media files. Whether you're starting a new conversation or continuing an existing one, the interface makes it easy to connect, share, and search through your messages seamlessly.

Access Messages

  • Tap on the Message icon located at the bottom of the Home screen, right next to the Recent Calls tab.

Start a New Conversation

  1. Tap the pencil icon to create a new message. You can search and select recipients from your contact list by typing their name.
  2. Along with plain text, users can also send media files via MMS

Forwarding a message

  1. Long-pressing on any message will reveal quick action icons at the top navigation bar.
  2. You can tap the forward icon to send the message to another contact.
  3. Tapping the forward icon will redirect you to your contacts, where you can select the desired recipients to forward the message seamlessly.

Copy and Delete Messages

  1. Long-press on any message to access quick actions.
  2. Tap the copy icon to copy the message content to your clipboard.
  3. Tap the delete icon to remove the message from the chat.

Configuring App Settings for Optimal Use

Manage your account preferences and sync settings easily from the App Settings menu. Follow the steps below:

Changing Account Status

  1. You can tap the hamburger icon at the top left to open the collapsible side navigation.
  2. You can see the Account option showing your current status (Active/Inactive).
  3. You can use the toggle button next to it to change your account status as needed.

Updating App Configurations

  1. You can tap the hamburger icon at the top left to open the collapsible side menu.
  2. You can select the Settings option from the menu.
  3. You can tap on Update Configurations to sync your app with the latest updates.
  4. You’ll see a loading screen with a “Fetching New Configurations” pop-up, and the app will sync your data within a few minutes.
  5. Once the app is synced with the latest updates, a pop-up will appear showing “Updated New Configurations.”

 

Sharing Application Logs for troubleshooting

To assist with faster diagnosis and resolution of issues, you can share logs directly from the CloudieConnect app. These logs provide essential technical details about recent activity, helping our support team troubleshoot effectively. Follow the steps below to securely send your logs to the Support team:

  1. You can tap the hamburger icon at the top left to open the collapsible side menu.
  2. You can select the Settings option from the menu.
  3. Tap on Enable Logs.
  4. Perform the steps/scenario where you are encountering a problem.
  5. Click on Email Logs.
  6. You will be prompted to select the mail application to send the logs to the CloudieConnect support team.
  7. Once you select the application, you can send the logs via mail to the CloudieConnect Support team.
