This article outlines how to configure a Caller ID prefix on incoming calls. Caller ID Prefixes prepend a string to the incoming caller ID on a call in order to differentiate between calls from other sources.
Requirements
Office Manager Access to Manager Portal or higher
Set CID Prefix on Phone Number
- Log in to the Manager Portal
- Navigate to Inventory
- Select the phone number to update
- Set the preferred string in the Caller ID Prefix field
- Click Save
Set CID Prefix on an Auto Attendant Option
- Log in to the Manager Portal
- Navigate to Auto Attendants
- Select the Auto Attendant to configure
- The Caller ID Prefix option is available on the User and Call Queue applications
- Set the preferred string in the Caller ID Prefix field
- Click Save
